this winery was founded by three siblings of the family schdöl – mathias, viktoria and leonard – all with a heart and love for wine, the dedication to nature and it‘s power and honest craftsmanship to bring pure and genuine wine into the bottle. the repeated name 'dorf dorf dorf' emphasizes the wine's humble, traditional, and local roots and it communicates that the grapes come specifically from vineyards located within the village area ('dorf' is german for 'village' and 'dorflagen' means 'village locations/sites'). this 100% st. laurent is juicy and spicy with, sour cherry, and bramble berry fruit.

enzo is the driving force behind the huge step up in quality that this old estate has taken in the past decade or so, as well as their conversion to organic viticulture. he makes unfailingly honest and delicate wines of purpose. brezza's wines are all from hand-harvested estate fruit and are fermented spontaneously with indigenous yeasts. this is 100% freisia, a grape that is genetically related to nebbiolo. it's light but grippy with crunchy red berry fruit. yum.

hailing from some of europe's most southerly vineyards on the isle of crete, the pateromichelakis twins yiannis and manos cultivate their family's ancestral twenty hectares of olive trees and five of grape vines. here, in their hometown of kissamos and the region of chania (the far western side of the island), they enjoy cool breezes off the aegean sea to the north, a shield from hot african winds to the south in the form of the lefka ori mountain range, and rich clay-loam and schist soils. the house specialty is romeiko, crete's most historically significant variety, once responsible for up to 80% of the island's plantings.as is traditional, the brothers pateromichelakis produce both a red and a white romeiko, both nicknamed 'ro'. the red showcases big black cherry fruit, baking spice, and leather notes.

ribeiro is split by three rivers and is lush and green, more like a celtic country. the steep slopes, a mix of soil types and proximity to the atlantic make it a unique microclimate fro grape growing. in the 1970s arsenio paz and ricardo carreiro started replanting local grapes such as treixadura, godello, loureira, albariño, souson, brancellao, ferrol and mencia which had been pulled up after phylloxera. ricardo’s son - also called ricardo - took over the winery in 2000 and converted to biodynamics, which is challenging in this cool, maritime region. the name of this wine emphasizes the importance of flowers and bees as essential elements in viticulture. this red blend is mainly souson accented with brancellao, mencia, ferrol - it's bright and mineral driven with notes of undergrowth, white pepper, and graphite.
